Jumping is one of my favourite things and about a year ago I was really confident and would jump anything. Then I had a "small fall" in one of my lessons. Gypsy the pony I was riding refused the third fence and I was thrown, I got back on and the same happened again. Again I got back on and was asked to jump the same jump. My temporary instructor refused to lower it and for the third time I fell. The third fall was quite bad probably because I expected it and tensed and I fell onto the jump. By this time my confidence was pretty much gone and I refused to jump anymore that lesson. The following week my usual instructor was back and we were set to be jumping again, I couldn't even try a jump without being a complete nervous wreck!! After a few lessons on flat work, and a brilliant horse, I managed to jump the tiniest jump and gradually we worked it back up. I will jump almost anything now but I still feel so nervous and occasionally I feel like I'm actually stopping the horses I ride from jumping to their full potential.
I want to be able to enjoy jumping again but I need to have my confidence back, so I wondered if anyone knew how I can start and get it back? Strange request I know but if anyone can give me some suggestions I know it'll be you guys.
Thank you xxxxxxxxxxxxx

I really feel for you - I took a few years away from horses when I was living in London and my confidence never fully recovered!! I've heard good things about these: www.confidentrider.co.uk/Anna x
