Using notes from Mark Rashid course

I printed out the notes from Mark Rashid's clinic - thank you Lucyloo - and THEY HAVE BEEN AN IMMENSE HELP.

I read through them before riding and put into practice the things that are said, and my poor horse is responding with - well, at last you are making things clear to me instead of getting me in a muddle.

I have tried so many different aid to get a back-up - I don't now.
I got in a real muddle with turn on the forehand - we did some excellent ones today.
And as for the improvement in the canter work. Amazing.

I was lucky enough to go as a spectator to the Solihull days, and it was AMAZING! Unfortunately due to a couple of setbacks with my horse I have only been able to practise the reining back twice, otherwise he has been off of work. (Due to come back into work again tomorrow - PLEASE wish me luck)! Anyway, in the meantime have been doing some work with my friends' daughter and her horses with fantastic results. Her gelding wouldn't take the left lead in canter, but does it every time now using foot fall and breathing and her mare wouldn't rein back. She does now - and enjoys it.

To me Mark Rashid is quite simply the most inspirational person I have ever come across in the equine world. I shall look forward to working with his methods with my horse from tomorrow...
