Hi Lydia. Haven't seen those tests but will have a look. Becky used to teach me before she had her baby, but has now given up freelance lessons. Unfortunately I have no transport, otherwise would love to come over to Ashen and do the dressage days.
Am doing a dismounted workshop in November - that should be fun! ;D

Hi SG. No, Becky used to come out and teach me at my yard, prior to having Max. My horse was at her old yard for a weeked about 15 months ago, but I doubt if you would remember our fleeting visit.

Also another question........ ive just read that for prelim tests you can only wear snaffles (i already knew that) but what im asking is, does this mean just the basic snaffle or could you wear a hanging half cheek snaffle or a fulmer snaffle? I was hoping to do it in her fulmer snaffle but after reading this im not sure now!? Thanks again!

The Trailblazers prelim tests are brilliant fun. But you do need to canter. I dont know whether it is the same all over the country, but it is not as popular as the trailblazers jumping and it is quite easy to qualify at prelim level.

there is a whole list of the specific snaffles that ARE allowed on the BD website.
fulmer is fine, hanging is fine.
waterford and cherry roller are not
