I have just found out that some people at my yard, including a 17 yr old girl are going to do a parelli 'play day' demo at my yard in a few weeks. There are half a dozen parelli fans at the yard and all that i have seen 'working' with their horses do not impress. It is almost as if they have watched someone at a demo wafting ropes etc at their horse and just come home and copied it without really grasping the principles behind it at all. These people are not trained and seem to all purposes to be playing at this. Now they are giving a fun demo to others who may be nieve enough to copy them. Am i being over-sensative? This sort of thing really worries me xxx

I do not think they should be calling it any sort of demo - I don't see the harm in making clear they are having a play-day. If they are no good, it gives a very bad impression of what can be a useful form of training IF the tools are used correctly.

This is what worries me Liz.......... The notice they have put up says ' Parelli play day demo - spectators welcome - come and see what parelli is all about '. It concerns me that some less experienced people at the yard may try to copy what they see. xxx
