Last night I was watching my friends little pony being jumped. He would jump some fine and others he would land really strangely by landing with both back legs together bringing them down quite hard. The pony is a little lazy so not sure if that could be the reason. A half hearted attempted a jumping, or not enough speed.
Has anyone ever seen this before?
Thanks

Yes, I have seen this before. I think it is, as you say, a half hearted attempt and is he a bit novicy?

Hi Pip yes he is. Hes not very forward going after the jump either he must think that once he has jumped it his job is done. I think I might get the kids to do a bit of work on his speed and see if that helps.
thanks

The rider is weighting the back too soon after the apex of the jump
