Builders yard?? try to think of who might use them when they are full and contact them to see what they do with them when empty. they may return them to the supplier or just through them out, in which case you could probably get them for free.

Farmers use 'em. ;D
You could also try scrap merchants, although you'd probably have to pay for them.

Hi ya.. My oh gets the plastic round blue ones from work. Best used cut in half cos they can roll around. Make excellent water type jump. I do have two and would part woth one if you were closer :-( Other than that I just dunno? Try the scrap yard. I remember having oil drums as a kid to jump they were purple with 'Tricolene (sp)' written on the side.. God knows where they came from.

my dad gets them and hes a machanic(sp) as they are usually filled with oil so he needs them. so if you know any local garages go and ask there. they may not give them because they can refill them rather than buying new ones.

Me and my OH own a garage and we give them away for free, we gave away 2 last week to be used as jumps, we use them as barbq's, incinerators etc, if we cant find a home for them we have to get the scrap man to take them so it might be worth visiting your local small garage, not a dealership as they possibly refill them, we average at using 1 a month

LisaM, I'm after a couple of the blue ones - where do they come from? You are too far away from me unfortunately, but if you can let me know what they usually contain so I can track some down that would be great.

Hi, I've got empty oil drums coming out of my ears here (SW Wales) so if anyone wants them...just let me know and they're all yours! :-)

If you do buy them, make sure that you don't leave them out in the field because (stupid, I know) someone stole ours!!!! I couldn't believe it! It's not one of those things that's easy to misplace either lol, we assumed we'd be alright to leave them out but obviously not.
