Hello Miss!. I'm sorry I have a cold. Please forgive me if I am wrong but I feel the IHDG is dead, extinct, it is no more, it's pushing up the daisies, it's eff'ing snuffed it. Or is it just pining for the fiords?
RIP IHDG: It was great while it lasted. It was too good to be true and ahead of its time. Thanks IH for such a great DG I'm very sad at its passing.
Long live the Queen!

But now resurrected like a phoenix in it's present form!
Indeed, long live the Queen.

And waiting for 5 minutes for it to do so... And posting something, ducking and putting your tin hat on and waiting for the anonymous snipers to open fire ;D So far so good in my book

LOL - RIP old DG? I think we would have ended up,'Pushing up the daisies', waiting for the pages on the old DG to load up the way it was going! Agree it is an improvement now, after a bumpy start I too think it is an achievement! ;D Thumbs up from me! However, have already noticed one person has posted a horse for sale thread - I thought there was a separate section for these? Could be wrong, suppose it was only a matter of time! Doh!

Not forgetting that it's now safe to use the refresh button for its intended purpose without inadvertantly spawning hundreds of orphan threads

Seems to be settling down nicely, I thought--still fiddly but at least people are starting discussions now the novelty of pink fonts and flashing avatars has semi-worn off. And hardly a rude anon in sight. Perhaps we should all take it in turns beng Nasty Anon (guest) and wander about being needlessly insulting, partly because we have a Right to Our Opinion but mainly so's everybody feels at home on the DG?

Finn I do think this will settle down and I certainly hated the nasty anons and insulters I still hope for good intelligent debate that gives you food for thought. This (old DG) has made me think and re-evaluate quite a few of my stagnent veiws and Ive enjoyed good solid arguements(debates) on issues that were in the back of my mind. Long may that continue.

Got to admit the new format has re-awoken my interest in the DG, I had not bothered for ages til now, had just dipped in and out. One problem I have noticed this evening though was earlier it wouldnt let me access, said too many users accessing server, was like it for at least half an hour, never seen that before.

I was one of the people that trialled the new board back in the spring and I didn't really like it but I have to say I have changed my mind - it's much more fun!

and its so much easier to read the posts, plus you dont have to keep "up"ing threads now there are different sections to the board

The new format does take some getting used to but progress is good. Nothing wrong about people typing their minds just how they do it.
The new forum won't stop you Yann from posting something, ducking and putting your tin hat on and waiting for the snipers to open fire. Snipers could log on as Guests so that readers of the board don't know who they are - they just won't be anonymous to the moderators.
Re looking for threads - I thought this facility had been lost but have just noticed the tiny search button on the bottom left of each forum page so life is just as easy and I like the spell check :0))
