I'm still searching for a good IH friendly instructor to help me bring on my 4 year old youngster on, hopefully to do dressage with. I'm in North Leicestershire, closeish to Loughbrough. I'd especially love the chance to train with someone practising classical dressage, and definatley not someone from the whips, spurs and draw reins brigade!!!

Hi Spring,
Have you ever heard of Anna Baxter? She's at Belton and have had a few lessons from her, and she was brilliant. She's not IH but she's not from the brigade! (wish my current one wasn't!) I've got her phone number if you want....
Also, If you want to start competing at some point, Hinckley Dressage is good, but a bit whippy (lol). Lots of competitions, etc. I compete there (badly...) and would be nice for another IHer lol!
Don't really know anyone else near Loughborough- I'm nearer Hinckley!
Best of luck:)

Im the Notts side of Loughborough, I have a woman called Hazel Allen, she uses the Parelli etc techniques, is very gentle, she got on my flighty mare that likes to p*ss off with new people as they are too sharp with her and had nothing like that, she had her beautiful and soft.
Also watched some of Anna Baxter's lessons, if I remember rightly she teaches some of teh Quorn Hunt PC rallies, she seems good!

;D Thanks for replying people! I've had a lesson with Anna Baxter a couple of weeks agao on my highland pony and thought she was quite good and a really nice person. She really makes you work as well, both me and Archie were exhausted. However, I got the feeling that she wouldn't have been to impressed to see me riding in the dually, and I would like someone who could tap into Spring's existing IH training. It's great to hear that Hinckley does a lot of dressage, when Spring can cope with keeping four feet on the ground, and not ruining it for everyone else, I'll have to start coming along..... Crazy mare, I'd love Hazel Allen's number if you're prepared to give it out! Does she specialise in any particular discipline?

Spring I'll ask her when I next see her if I can give it you, Ive only had a few lessons with her myself so on new ground there, if I can I'll PM it to you rather than putting it on the main board. Can I just ask a more definate location for you, to give her an idea of if she could travel out to you, again if you dont want to post on the main board PM me!
Ed- forgot to say, yes and no to specialising, she teaches everything but rides to Prix St George level I believe on her own horse, also does side saddle!
