My friends horse is on box rest because she pulled a tendon a few days ago. This afternoon my friend went to see her horse and all of her legs have swollen up to just above the fetlock and the horse is very lame. A vet has been called but does anyone recognise these symptoms?

Not really Me, but wonder whether it could be caused through having to stand in the stable 24/7 because of the tendon injury? Some horses' legs do fill if they stand in for any period of time. Obviously this is unavoidable in this instance because the horse needs box rest.
I am sure the vet will be able to help. My thoughts on this would be to perhaps use magnetic boots to help blood flow. Hope everything is okay following in from the vet's visit - would be interested to know what he/she said.
