has anyone from here attented one of these 2 day courses with nicole golding?
i'm thinking of booking my daughter on one with her youngster (homebred, backed, bold and going very well) and wondered what experiences she and he would gain.
would welcome all comments.

Hello, Saw an intro to this on the 5 day course and can't say I was hugely impressed at all (though maybe 2 day courses are different??...) I would recommend Australian NH, and Silversand, and Queensland NH who will teach you a lot and you'll learn both how to train horses gently and then to ride them gently. Best of luck.

Nicole comes to our yard for one day courses and we find them really useful. She has a great way of being able to get things across to both horse and rider and it is amazing how some of the little tweaks she makes to your position have an enormous effect on the horse. The techniques she uses are based on Mary Wanless techniques but she has adapted them to work for her and has added on her own ideas. To an observer the lesson might look a little tame as you do a lot in walk at first but from the experiences of all the people who have attended the one day clinics at our place, it makes an enormous difference to your riding and your horse's way of going. You do have to go with an open mind and be prepared to try out different things but for all of us it has been really worthwhile.

el - you may not be aware that you are on Kelly Marks website and that Nicole is one of her her premier Recommended Associates. Nicole is very knowledgeable and skilled about her horsemanship and does courses as such with and without Kelly and Monty. She is offering as an extension - intelligent riding -and with her expertise in other areas this can only help with the riding. Sometimes good things take alittle longer to get across and master than the quick fix which can often be temporary. I agree with june give it a try and always keep an open mind - On this occassion it would be well worth it.

Hi! I went to one of these last October and it was fabulous - Nicole and Adam will tailor it to you and are very supportive and positive - it was like therapy for me as I'd had a bad year and completely lost my confidence not just in riding but in general. There was a complete cross section of people there from a lady who'd never ridden and was learning how to approach and lead a horse to a lady learning more advanced dressage movement. Everyone was supportive of everyone else and it was a lovely weekend.
Well worth it - give them a call to discuss what you want to achieve. Lovely people. I'd have gone again this year but OH just been made redundant so bit strapped for cash at the moment. (Nicole has also helped immensely over the years supporting me with my rather highly strung and ex rescue mare).

I have done several courses with Adam and Nicole and would highly recommend them to anyone - they are also fans of Mark Rashid and very experienced in their own right. Flynn likes going there the yard is tremendous and they will try and fit what you want to do in your lessons.
Last time I went we had someone who had harldy sat on a horse - he got on really well over the two days. It's also worth going up on the Friday if you can for the groundwork day - they will adapt it too your needs again, or give you an additional lesson.
Lovely people and a great time.

I had a mini lesson from Nicole when I took my horse Solsti on the 5 Day Foundation Course. I found it incredibly helpful and the tiniest of tweaks to my position yielded big changes in my horse. I would definitely recommend her!
