My horse has recently started kicking with his back leg. He has done this occasionally in the past, but ita quite bad now. He's not kicking out behind him, but more upwards underneath him or stamping. I've dosed his back legs with dermobline just in case he has mites. But he's got an ongoing irritation of the sheath, but he's never done this before. He's been checked by vet ect, but its never got worse. I've tried different things but nothing really works. I've cleaned this to see if that is what it is. I think that is what it is. He's peeing ok and there is no swelling ect. Anyone else had this?

One of mine does this and the way I treat it is too clip the legs out completely, its usually a mite causing the itchiness. If he is feathery I would think it could be that, if he's fine then probably not.
