I just noticed today my fella sounding a bit "damp" in the chest, the poor thing, and feeling very sluggish to ride. Has anyone else got horses doing the same, and if so what are you doing/feeding?
I'm changing his hay, have given his stable a good clean of old shavings and hay which will hopefully reduce the armount of dust around him, but I'm resigned to drugs and vets unless there's a miracle... This has happened before, I think it's common for him to get a bit of a bug over the winter, but now it's here I do feel for him. When I arrived up this morning he was lying down, which is unusual. I'll just keep him exercised gently over the holidays and check him daily - he's on livery so can be checked when I'm not around too.
BTW I went to give him a sweet as a treat - all I had was a Strepsil for me, and he gobbled it right up - knows what's good for him!
