I was just trying to say that what you are demonstrating IS leadership June, by consistently reinforcing the messages to the horses that you are able to control their pace and direction.
That is what I would call passive leadership, in that it is not agressive leadership (something that would be far easier for some of us) which may result in the same outcome but more due to fear than respect.
When we've discussed it before, it seems that while I have to work hard to keep my life and adrenalin down, June is sometimes told she needs to crank hers up a bit!!

so in essance sherbs the answer to any question or in sherbs case demands the answer will always be a low energyy but forceful no! just what we left you with work through it and your energy levals and id say you would become very close to having a horse who is ready to listen so you can move onto the next step, your energy seems to go from 0 to 10 in a split second

Aah, that's the situation is it Jen1? I can identify with that. Boy, don't horses let you know just when you need to keep your energy down? They are so much more reactive than us, and they can read minds too. Who says horses are dumb?!

Hurray we have a new person on the DG!!! I recognise her but dont know why??? Anyway some wize words from a soon to be butterfly (my tummy is full and Im feeling very very sleepy) These are not my thoughts ... I am just passing on a few of the wonders of KFH. When he works with a horse he is is part of the ground and everything round him. His heartbeat never alters and his body is totally relaxed and he is aware of his every move. When he walks he feels the ground and hears the birds singing. His shoulders are down and his energy is down but his inner strength is plain to see. He is aware of the horses every move and his reactions are absolultely exact. Mmmmm lost yet??? At this moment there is nothing else in the world other than him and the horse. He is absolutely focused on the job in hand. He is always very clear what the job is. He works with a horse from a distance with nothing attatched to the horse. He establishes his leadership from this distance by not allowing the horse into his space ... however he does claim the space the horse is in as his own. His inner strength is huge .... the horse sees this and will not challenge him. He longes the horse in a very calm and gentle way. He makes the horse change direction by doing almost nothing. He allows the horse to follow him round and then he makes contact with the horse. Through every thing he does his body stays in the same state ... never tense, never angry, always nothing. This can last about 2 minutes ... he says nothing has happened but everything has happened. The horse sees him as a good an powerful leader that is worth following and the desire to follow him is massive. The horse is relaxed now because he doesnt have to challenge anymore. Take from that what you will (BTW I am selling inner strength tablets .... £250 each. You will only need to take one a day for a week so thats quite good value IMO.)

I've posted my updated on the diary thread on PC, no wings yet?
We had quite a few dominance games tonight, but overall we managed to keep it quite low key and I came out better off I think. Also learnt a few extras for tomorrow, very cool!!! xx
