How likely would it be that I could get an adult rider for my 12hh section a? unlikely? I have the most amazing pony, shes done rda work and work in a riding school, shes very resonsive and quite quick, but completly safe and 99% bombproof, she loves hacking and absolutly loved the endurance ride i took her on, only problem is, shes not a childs pony. I have a small friend that rides her now and then, but lives a far drive away and cant commit too much time as shes at uni, i cant commit as much time as i could either as im at uni aswell. Is there a chance that an older teenager, or a small adult would want to ride such a small pony, or would it be like looking for rocking horse poo. heres my girl and with me at an endurance ride

shes a welsh section a, although seems to be chunkier than the average, she looked like a tank compared to the other welshes in the in hand class.

I'm a teenager/adult with a pony and I'd say you can find people. The lady who shares with my YO rides my pony too and could easily ride something 12hh without looking huge, as could a couple of ladys round here who share 13/14hh ponies with their children. Just a case of looking in the right place I suppose. Where are you?

Im in telford, shropshire. I know of people willing to ride 14 handers, but havent actually met anyone willing to ride a 12hander.

thanks that would be great i have 6 horses altogether, and go to a local uni so can keep my horses where they are, but dont have enough time to exercise them all anymore. My dad has been roped into riding my cob, 2 of them are sort of semi retired, mum rides hers, i ride my new boy, but no one to ride little un, we broke her to drive to give her a use but havent really got anywhere to drive unless we travel miles.

One of my neighbours used to ride an Exmoor that was tiny. You just need someone who isn't worried what they look like! She was my height and weight. In fact I rode him twice. Bit funny to trot though.

why isnt it suitable for children? is there a reason or would you just prefer an adult? im sorry im miles away so no help as anyone i no is too far but i do know adults that ride little ponies... one of my flat mates jumps a 12'2 pony and she is 21.

she isnt really suitable for children just because shes too sharp really, and doesnt take fools lightly, she really will just take the micky if she thinks she can. She was bought for my sister when she was younger, and shes ok on the leadrein, but susie hates being on the leadrein and likes to do her own thing. shes done rda and been in a riding school but i feel she just resents children messing with her, shes not a cuddly kissy type pony. Ive also had some 14 yr olds on her, which she was better with, but just took the micky and carted them to the grass, shes much better with adults.
