Hi All
Dolly has mudfever at the moment and until it's healed a bit I'm only turning her out in the arena.
Her field isn't too bad apart from the gateway which is deep, boggy, sucky mud. The farmer has a few mounds of stones/gravel/sand lying around that he doesn't mind me dumping in the gateway but before I break my back doing this, I was wondering if you think it'll help, or if there's anything else that I could do that would be easier.
Thankies!

We did that and it helped on some areas. Actually had hardcore put dowm then got woodchips on top as it covers the whole area in front of the yard and shelter. Put still the bit in front of the gate and shelter got muddy in very wet conditions so we got some greenguard field mats (they have those holes in). They are great.

We put some old carpet in our gate way, and as soon as that gets muddy, i replace it with another piece!! It works well for me!

old straw thats been mucked out of the stable seems to soak up some of the mud. It then just disappears in the summer
