i would just like to say a very festive thank you etc to anyone who has givenadvice, support and otherwise. Having learnt things in a certain way regarding horses and handling etc,i just happened to stumble upon this site, and would just like to say that my ways views and opinions have changed and all for the better.. my two year old gelding is growing into such a gentleman,he has his moments for sure but i strongly believe that the advice i have had has helped change him from the unrully, bolshy, nippy chore that he used to b into nothing less than a member of my family who id spend every hour with if poss. I bought a dually halter also and have found that the mare i also half own who was a headshaker etc has calmed so much being ridden in it that were going bitless with her,ppl on the yard have noticed such a difference in them both that sales of kellys books and dually halters must b flying off the shelves.. im sorry this was so long but i really had to just say thanx, and mostly for looking at mysellf and how i did things... so cheers guys and have a great crimbo.. (cheese fest over lol)

I was thinking that, to start with, many of us might come on this site to help with problems (Horse Help) ? That was me anyway.
But now I just like to read the gossip, see everyone's pics and pick up the odd tip on the way ;D
And it's great to know that you're not the only one with a problem - someone else has probably come across it before and there is always someone willing to suggest a way forward for you.
It's a place to celebrate and share success or funny pics and a place to have a moan when things are going wrong. I think it's great ;D

I just stumbled upon here too, and realised I would deal with the problems in the same way people were suggesting, and I didn't know anyone else that believed in my non mainstream ways.
But I have also learnt a lot particularly about shoeless methods, and it has made me really think about the things I do with horses. And best of all I've made new friends.

Glad to hear it... I too have had some great advice and tremendous support from peeps on this site, and also made good friends two of whom are far enough away yet close enough to visit, and another who is even farther away, and I hope to visit soon along with some of my family!!
and have also learnt there are other ways of dealing with the daily "my horse won't come in/be ridden/jump a pole" issues in life, and to join in the gossip!!!
Long may it continue!!
