May I recommend a rug free roll in the mud for every horse this Chirtmas. Yes, it's a pain and you have to chase them down, brush up and re-rug, but OMG Blue had a ball today. He's grey, so you can imagine the state he's in. Happy Chritmas everyone. Thanks for all the great advice and uplifting support.

My grey bratlet has had that treat yesterday, let them out into the field for the first time in about 3 weeks and no rugs, winter turnout is mostly in the school, and when I went to check on them Mia came bouncing over looking very pleased with herself and totally covered in wet mud ;D Roxy gets a chance to roll in the sand regularly instead, I want her cleanish and she's seriously pathetic about cold weather so has her run on.

Yep, Christmas every day for mine! Rug only goes on if it's been raining for days and his coat is like a dishrag.
Mud is the 'in' colour for any equine who's anyone this winter don't ya know?!
