I MISSED YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
we have finally (after months of trauma etc.) moved into Bumblebarn. our timber framed bungalow with seven whole acres of our own land!!!!!!!!
and its christmas eve tomorrow!!!!!
we moved in on tuesday, had problems with computer etc. but am finally back online!! yay!!
I don't have any piccies yet, but will get some tomorrow. Deej and ebony were moved on weds. my riding instructor vicky moved them in her lorry. we were worried about them loading. Deej loads perfectly into the trailer but that horsebox (which is a converted moving library!) has an incrediably steep ramp!! he went straight in though, what a star!! then ebony got in, almost straight away, which is fab for her! they travveled brilliantly and loved their new paddock. they aren't the sort to gallop about on arrival, so had a little trot and settled down to the serious job of eating!! it was amazing having them there. i went out just to see them and it was amazing to have them in the garden!!
we moved posie on thurs. took about 45 minutes to catch her, little sh*t. she loaded fine though. into our trailer. we drove her over and popped her into her small paddock, which is attached to ebony and deej's. all was good. there was some running and squealing. ebony promptly went into season, mares! but they settled down. mum and i were up there, with the fence turned off (it has three strands of electric, low ones too, shes a bugg*r for getting under things. she jumped a low one once too!) but when the fence was off for just a second she bolted under the adjoining fence between her paddock and ebony and deej's. and in with them!!! grrrr. so we left her with them. now, they push her around and take her food. shes a bugg*r of a pony. we're thinking of selling or loaning her out, so keep your ears open for someone who wants a project. i just don't have time with ebony and deej too work with and she's too small for me anyway. i don't think she'll ever make a first pony for rachel. so we're going to get her a nice one next year!!
but yes. it was a good move, all is well (Even though we fused half the house the other day and mum broke the shower) and we've been cleaning like hell to get rid of the smell of dog (mrs p had 3 hairy dogs, and she was eighty. so didn't do any cleaning.)
but its really good!! its amazing to have the horses just there. i go out loads everyday. and i go out to say goodnight when i do the 'lockdown' my job, no on else is allowed to do it!!
i'm so happy! and its christmas soon too, so merry christmas all you DGers, you're all fab!! merry xmas to you and nags!
