Sorry if this has already been mentioned but is anyone enjoying the horsey bits as much as me? I'm a lifelong F&S fan and I was in stitches last night watching it. Scary bit is that I'm quite relating to the pushy mum! Eeeek! Nevertheless I think it's very well observed and I have previously caught myself brushing fringe out of my face with a body brush mid-groom....

I agree, I usually find tv attemps at equestrianism cringingly bad but J&J has got it spot on.

Jen it's on Friday nights, 9 or 9.30 can't remember BBC1.
Jennifer Saunders plays 'pushy equestrian mum' to reluctant daughter Freya and it's so funny. ;D
It's really well referenced, I know Saunders & Edmondson are well into their music as well - tis the first time I've ever heard the Ozric Tentacles mentioned on tv either! (I'm an old festy hippy really).
Try and catch it Jen - it's not really about horses but there's usually SOME on at some point.

Dont really like it but must agree the horsey mum is very acurate and very 'pony club' typical! especially when the girl is standing there on her phone and really dosent want to be there with her pushy mum! I like the horse he looks so lovely!

I love this series its just great. And the horsey bits are sooooooooo good and typical, last night when on the tannoy it said "overuse of whip will result in elimination, and that applies to the girls and the BOY" LOL LOL LOL I wonder how much goes over the heads of non-horsey people? the 1 boy at Pony Club, the pushy horsey mum, and getting the horses going tin the gap year! that was just brilliant.

Love Joanna Lumley in this, she is fab. The girl playing Jennifers Saunders daughter is her daughter in real life

I love this series , gentle subtle humour. Jennifer Saunders is wonderful as the horsey/doggy woman - very well observed . Does she have horses ? It's a worry when you start to recognise yourself , but so long as it's not Rosie (Dawn French) or Delilah (Joanna Lumley) ;D

I just saw the trailer to the programme, but I and my daughter giggled when we saw the course-walk, as it was spot on! Wish I had seen the rest now.
