This is Bella, she is very sociable and always has a smile for me, anyone else have a dog that pulls funny faces?

My dog used to smile whenever he got excited. Sadly he is no longer with us but I will always remembr him as my smiling dog.

Ah, lovely photo!
This is Gemma - she grins insanely when she is rolling on her back, twisting from side to side, but unfortunately I've never caught it on camera!! ;D

Bella's smile appears when you stroke her in front of her ears and she shows her teeth, however I know what you mean Milo because she also does it when she has been reprimanded or knows when she has been doing something she shouldn't. I think it is a submissive thing but it makes us laugh anyway. So sorry to hear about your dog Kevin, they stay with us always and Sarah I can imagine your cheeky Gemma could smile when enjoying herself rolling on her back. What would we do without them?

Buster, my black and white Springer is a great smiler! He smiles when he is excited e.g if a friend has come to visit. The postman asks him for a smile when he goes out to collect the post now! Interestingly only the black and white members of his family seem to be smilers, his liver and white sisters etc don't do it, but his b&w mum and sister do!

Our old golden used to grin all the time, in greeting, when she had stolen some food AGAIN, eaten my mobile phone AGAIN! We adored her though she had so much character.

Yes, I do!! I don't have a photo of her smiling, but when she gets really excited, like when we first get home from being out, she smiles. It's realy funny. Here's a photo of her but, as I said, I don't have one of her smiling yet. We've only had her a few weeks.

I don't have a smiling dog, but have just learnt how to post photos so thought I'd show you Sophie. She is 16 years old now and last September she had a stroke and we thought we were going to lose her. She is still here even though she is a bit wobbly on the old legs! ;D
