My ancient trumpet has just been fixed for me, so I have started playing again for the first time since leaving school! My music reading skills are not what they were (not that they were ever great!) and I find it so much easier to play music that has the words with it, so I can sort of sing to myself while I play! The actual trumpet music books I have don't have words in, so I just play the tunes I know and ones I can "sing" to from organ music books. I just wondered if anyone else had discovered a trumpet music book that actually has words in?!

I used to teach kids the clarinet when i was at uni and there are several compilation books that have cd's with them with the music and words on to get you used to playing with an ensemble etc.
Do you have a music shop near you? If not i am sure a search engine might help you locate something. Foulds is good for that sort of music but there are many other shops that will stock some.
Good luck!
