I like to see all the posts at once.
This DG may have more 'gadgets' but I for one liked it as it was.

I'm old fashioned too. I'd just like the old format, with logins and a bit faster. Won't happen I get fed up with having to go to 3/4 lists to look for interesting topics, and then paging down in each individual list. I guess I'm just a BOF.

It's grown on me alot now and I definetly perfer it, anons are still allowed which is great for posts that we don't want to put our names to and will be controlled if anyone's nasty.

I think it feels more like a community now and it's nice being able to see exactly who's online

i would like it except that it's now picked up by our IT department at work that it's a chat board and so i can no longer access the board at work. For some security reason we're not allowed to go on chat board sites at work. Sadly this means i won't be on much anymore because the last thing i want to do normally when i get home is get on a pc again!

Hmmm... I find myself looking through the lists of posts and being put off by all the different graphics and the typeface. I guess I like things visually clear and simple ... there are so many photos everywhere, that you have to scroll for ever just to read a few lines of text ... So am I an old fogey or what?!

I like it. I generally used to lurk on the old board. Now I am posting regularly.
I used to struggle to wade through all the posts before, now I can find everything much easier.

Must say I agree with you Sobagirl. Have not been on here for a couple of weeks and I really do not like this new layout. So probably wont bother coming on here much at all now.

If you forget to log in and have forgotten to log in, copy your post (by highlighting and right clicking), log in, then paste it into the reply box of the topic

My main problem is still to remember in which section such and such post was to follow up on it, since I usually don't remember the title unless I read it. Otherwise, I like the fancy pics. I can see that some of the old DG regulars are not posting as much as they used to, which is a shame really. I'm very excited because I've reached the second level (two horseshoes today) LOL

It will (has) change the nature of the DG because those that preffered the old one will tend not to post as much and those that prefer the new one (who didnt post much if at all) will post more. Its more like all the other 'standardised' chat rooms and so will become just like them ... Shame I say ...the old dg was unique I fo rone rue its demise...

I'm a bit like KAS, and keep forgetting to log in - I won't 'earn' my horseshoes, but it's not a posting competition is it! I find moving avatars, smilies, animated signatures etc really distracting - sorry if you have them! Not an insult, just my humble opinion. However, it's nice and fast which is a bonus. It will grow on me I'm sure.
