Hi
I am moving to Rhayader, Mid Wales on Monday and just wondering if there are any people on this forum that live near there. Leave a message or pm if you do, would love to hear from you.

I'm about 1 hour from you near Brecon. It's lovely around here - though not a huge huge amount as regards competitions and horsey events - though better if you have transport (I don't!!).
Think there is a quite good riding club based in Trecastle. Hacking is second to none in this area...
Good luck with your move and I hope everything goes well.
Take care

Sorry to hijack your thread jay but I'm moving to the Newport area fairly soon (I hope!).Can anyone tell me if there are many dressage competitions held in the area? I was hoping to finally crack on & get out to do some dressage, hopefully I'll have transport but I don't really want to travel long distances. Also any recommendations for teachers woukd be great.
Thanks.

Thanks for your reply breezy, thankfully we have a lorry as neither of our riding horses are traffic proof so we just take them in the lorry until we get to the start of off road riding. Not into competitions apart from endurance and someone else i know in that area does alot of that so hopefully there will be some events to go to.

hi jay. My mum lives in Rhayader and I spoke to her this evening and told her you'd posted here and she was going to try and brave the dodgy power supply but if she doesn't get through email me on welsh_rare_bint@skynet.be and I'll pass on your message. Mum says you'll run into her no doubt shortly as she works at the vets and I see from your photos that you'll no doubt need one sooner or later! The hacking around Rhayader is absolutely superb and I've spent many a day up in the hills. Watch out for the gallops on the golf links though - there's a cliff at the other end!

hi jay, yes she does and she's a Kelly & Monty fan. Which part of town are you moving to or will you be out in the hills?
