Hi Eileen, First of all, thanks so much for your kind message and the card back in the spring. Secondly, please can you tell me if you are going to carry on being the treasurer for the IHDG Appeal this year? If you look at the Big Bike Ride thread on the Appeals section I hope I might be able to organise something, if the boys succeed in getting to John O`Groats. What would be the best way to collect any sponsorship money? The Brooke Appeal went really well didn`t it? Lots of hard work for you but what a result! Annxx

Hi Ann - just wanted to let you know that Eileen won't be able to reply for a few days, as she is helping out at one of the courses this week. I'm sure she will see this when she gets back, but it might be worth "upping" it towards the end of the week.

Hi Ann, yes will be treasurer again this time i think! LOL! i havent seen your other thread yet but it sounds brilliant and thanks so much for doing this for the new appeal. what do you think is the best way to collect the money? Have you any ideas about it? Mums anniversary today, the year has flown but im not feeling too down as remembering all the good times and there was oodles of them! Hi Louise, did you have a good time? Thanks from the bottom of my heart for getting me on Cassies back for the first time since i have had her, i am still smiling, i wish you lived near me and could teach me. :-((( Hannah Rose RA came out and she said neither of the saddles fit properly so even though i was keen to get aboard again i cant until i sort the saddles out, that is why i am now looking for a treeless now. shall have to start saving! it was really lovely to meet you and your lovely family, your daugher is a smashing girl, please say hi to her for me wont you and to Ronnie and your hubby? i will send you some photos very soon. The course was brilliant but we didnt get a lot of sleep and are only just recovering, if anyone wants to go and be a helper i can highly recommend it, learnt loads and great for my confidence handling all those strange horses. They were beautiful. Be in touch soon and look forward to hearing from you Ann as well love eileen xxx

Ah, there you are! Sounds like a great course (Was it a Five Day or one of Caroline`s Nervous Rider Courses?) and it is brilliant that you got a ride on Cassie. Hopefully the first of many once you get a saddle for her.
Is it really a year since your Mum? It`s four months to the day that I lost my Mum. In some ways it seem such a long time ago yet I still sometimes think it`s time I went up the lane to see her in the Nursing Home and then realise I can`t. I expect both our Mum`s would want us to be out and busy with the ponies :0) Hope it has not been to hard for you today.
Do you want me to ask people to send a cheque to you like we did before, or is there a way of doing it without your home address being given out on the DG?
The boys are hopefully within three days of finishing their ride. They are at Loch Ness tonight. When they finish I`ll put up threads on NH Chat and General Horsy as well as the Appeal thread, just so we don`t miss anyone.
Speak to you soon. Love Annxx

Toby belongs to some people who live near the field - there are two fields next door to each other and we are keeping them together for companionship. He's from a stud/dealer nr Thetford - can't remember the name. He's 10years old, 15.2 with some warmblood somewhere apparently and came over from Ireland a couple of weeks ago where he was a hunter. My KC trimmer took his shoes off today, what a mess! Good luck with the Treeless Eileen my friends have got one and it's very comfy, they do Endurance riding so it needs to be though:-) Take care - you could always get on bareback and ride round the house?Love to you all.
