Hello, I live near Hitchin in Hertfordshire and between my mum and myself we have 7 ponies in varying shapes and sizes. The smallest is a 12hh dartmoor picked up form the round up sales, the largest is my beautiful anglo arab who sadly has had an accident and is no longer rideable. In between those is Fanta, a New Forest pony who will soon be 33. I compete at local level showing, but in the past with Fanta, we did just about everything he could turn his hoof too! I no longer bounce quite so well so am more inclined to keep my horses feet nearer the ground! I hope one day to return to county level showing but I will have to wait for that one. Is there anyone local out there?

Hi Mandy, welcome to the IHDG we're an odd bunch but mostly very friendly and you can always find someone to help out when you have a problem - usually lots of different ideas and sometimes an interesting discussion too! Sounds like you and your mum are busy, that's the way with horses isn't it, addictive! Look forward to chatting with you on other threads too!

Thanks for the welcome. Not sure that i could ever be without the horses but no for certain that I wouldnlt have this many again! The winter gets longer every year but, we have had the shortest day and it is now only 12 weeks until we change the clocks again and spring arrives. ;D Can't wait.
