Hiya! My name is Sam, i'm 18 and from Yorkshire. I own Brandy a 22 year old chestnut mare who's just a happy hacker now and loving it (she's in my avatar). I also own Charlie a 16.3hh lightweight chestnut gelding but he's out on loan with view to buy at the moment he's in a lovely home though so got my fingers crossed for him! Used to be a lurker on the old board but did occasionally came out to post, liking the new format so i might post a bit more if i'm brave enough! ;D

Hi I am Diane and I live in West Yorkshire between Bradford and Halifax. I have had Buster on loan to me for about 8 years now and he is a dark bay gelding 14.2 and he is 16. He is my stress reliever and he is great. I am over 40 and enjoy coming on the DG. This is my first attempt at its new format so still getting used to it.

Hi I'm Ann from Wakefield. Have two daughters Louise and Stephanie, two Ponies Piper and Jasper. Louise competes at BSJA but Stephanie does not compete so Louise sometimes takes her pony in unaffiliated classes. I have a son Johnathan who is not Horsey but races Go Karts. Must not forget Ted the Airedale Terrier and John my husband. He will be so pleased that hes last on the list. LOL

Hi it's nice to hear from so many yorkshire people especially those from wakey!
I dont compete much now because brandy doesnt like travelling and we only have one local show a year, used to compete locally on someone elses horses but sadly dont have time anymore, i will get back into it though!
If anyone knows of any shows locally i'd be greatful if you could let me know, i love spectating even though its not as fun as competing but it is less stressful lol.

Hi Sam, I'm Gemma from Normanton, Wakefield and the picture is Spencer a 16.1hh 5 year old ID x Gelding. He is kept at grass livery in Wakefield. We mainly hack at the moment but hope to do small hunter trials eventually. (has anyone ever hired out the course at Gawthorpe and if so what is it like? as would like to go for a schooling session some time in the future)

Hi Yann, well the saddle fund has been started but has been overtaken at the mo by the car mending fund, life just ain't fair sometimes ! After your visit I've def decided to go treeless ; I was well inpressed by yours and feel it would suit me and the little man really well. I've turned him away now till next year before we start any proper ridden work, and by then I should be in a better financial position .Thanks for your help and the nice words about my 'gyppo lad ' Chance. Sara with the sec D is also considering going treeeless so you may have started a revolution ! Thanks again , and we'd love to return the favour, Jane and Chance.
