Karen, you can't post photos like those without telling us who they are and how they are bred!
Oh, and HOW you did it, very nice!

Hi Judi!
The grey is Periannath:
by Eldor (Eldon x Tahirah) out of SFA Passionata (Fawor x Fortunata MSC)
She is 3 years old and I hope to back her soon to do distance rides and hacking and maybe some showing!
The chestnut is Jasmine:
by Master Sultan (Count Roland x Miss Millie) out of Bronllwyn Jasmin (Bronllwyn Brigadoon x Cefni Starlight)
She is 21 and I only use her for hacking we haven't done much else she is just my best friend!!! ;D

Ahh, some lovely breeding in those pedigrees.
Jasmine's mane is fab, how on earth do you keep it looking so good? Esp re the length at the bottom, mine all seem to get rubbed no matter what rugs I use...

thankyou! Well yesterday she had some wind knots in them!! She never ever gets them! Maybe one in winter (she lives out) but anyway managed to get them all out but it made her mane look awful after! Ive got a pic i took after. I dont usually have to do anything but brush it, sometimes (like once a year!) I put conditioner in it but she's frightened of the spray so I have to spray it on the brush!! heres the pic, it damaged her mane

She's still gorgeous damaged mane or not. I dream of a mane that long on Rabbit, but he spends all his time leaning under the fence trying to get the long grass, so we loose half of ours by the summer - he's a scabby urchin really!

My luso mare has a very long mane, but its forever getting tangled, so I've ended up plaiting it to keep it tidy!

Beautiful horses. I'm particularly envious of the manes as both mine have short scruffy manes!
