I have 2 of the little blighters! Pepper - a little welsh sec A, although no papers, he's a gelding, 6yrs and 10.2hh. He's such a little sweetie, and would and do trust him heaps. His only bad point is he's a bit nippy, more so recently as I think someones feeding him tidbits! This pic below, is of him a few years ago.
My other little blighter is Mary - Piebald cob, filly, 3 yrs last June and about 14hh. 8 1/2" of bone. She's a lovely girl, quite protective of me! She's not broken or anything yet, as I've got to sort out my back, as it also affects my legs. I tend to go down and have lots of loves!
I get fed up of certain people telling me to do something with them, especially Mary. She is only just 3, and I don't believe she's mentally ready yet.

MY three babies are as follows:
Louis - Mini Shettie - 4 years old, cream dun, the team leader, but needs mum sometimes if things are a bit too scary
Lancelot - Mini Shettie - 4 years old, cream dun, a true angel - the perfect pony and puts up with the other two fantastically.
Kieran - Very Mini shettie - 2 years old - massive character, currently learning manners from myself and the other two. But I wouldn't have him any other way
I love my boys so much !

Thanks Lindaandjack, I take no notice of them, but sometimes, you just want to yell 'mind your own bloody business' at them!

Love the bum shot ;D! I too wouldn't worry about what others think, my mare wasn't handled untill she was 5, and I think they tend to mature later anyway. Trouble is you can look at your horse like a candle - what you take off one end you can't burn at the other. I'd rather have a horse which has done nothing than has done too much too soon

Hi everyone ;D I'm 28, married, 3 children, 2 dogs, 2 ponies, and in kent. I own Sham, a 13.2 arab x connemara, who is currently out on loan, and Molly, a four year old mini shetland mare. Looking for something to ride myself at the moment Will try and include pics but not too great at IT so will be a bit shocked if they appear!

Being a person of fairly small stature (5ft 2) and a bit of a lightweight, I'm definately a pony fan!
I own 3 lovely ponies :
My bestest gal is Telstar, usually just known as Star, Lumpy or Old Boot - she's about 14hh, about 20 years old and almost white now. Except when she's plastered in mud, which is most of the time!
Then there's Frithesden Merlin, my 8 year old Exmoor. He's had a life of leisure up 'til now, but I WILL back him this year!
My other little girly is Vega, a loan pony from Lluest Horse and Pony Trust. She's a welsh A type, very light grey and has the prettiest little face you've ever seen.
Wish I could post pictures, but I'm not that technically able!

Sobagirl and Touchstone - couldn't agree with you more about the issue of working youngsters. I think my Merlin is probably old enough to cope with a bit of work now though! I really must get round to it sometime...............

Craig - couldn't agree with you more - Welsh ponies definately rule! ;D Now I've got a section A and a Section B I can't help thinking that I really need a Section C too.

Ketchup, my welsh A has only just turned 4. In January I put a saddle and bridle on him and pottered around the field a few times and that was it. He has really matured in the last few months and he is only just ready now to carry on with ridden work. It took a while to find a bit he was happy in but he's very happy now in his happy mouth double jointed bit with a roller. His brakes work very well and we are now refining our steering! He is so comfortable to ride! Zephie, my section B is very 'araby' in appearance (and temperament!) and it feels like riding a broomstick compared with riding Ketchup. Zephie was actually bought for the children to ride but, although she's a dream on the lead rein, she is very very sharp and spooky off the lead rein and I actually think that Ketchup will make a better children's pony. I let my eldest daugher have a quick sit on Ketchup yesterday and she had a grin from ear to ear.

Hiya I am 16 and have a 14.1 9 year old jumping pony. He is brilliant in every way especially SJ and xc and his dressage is really coming on now doing some little prelims with him! He is very cheeky and loveable and everyone adores him. We compete at least once a week usually twice and he has taught me loads (like how to do sneaky quick turns in a jump off !) and now we are unstoppable!I have give him lots of dressage help though, but his paces are naturally lovely. Got our first intermediate ODE in 2 weeks and PC camp next week. WOOO! Also our NWC championship which Im a bit nervous about! Tomorrow we are going Betley show so that should be a bit of fun for us! Love hearing about everyone else ponies! ps will try and get some recent pics of him/ us jumping but dont have a digi camera or scanner! so it will be very hard! I have this 1 old very crap pic thats it before our very first show about a year and a half ago!!
