Does anyone use rock salt? If so, I see the himalayan one is pink and the one in our local shop is clear/white. Does anyone know if the clear/white one has been refined in any way? Is it lacking minerals compared to the white ones?
Thanks.

I don't know about giving it to horses but as far as spreading it on the roads goes I've used both in a previous career - I think the only difference is in the amount of impurities in the deposit, which may or may not be a good thing in terms of nutrition. I doubt the white stuff has been processed in any way, it probably just has a higher concentration of pure sodium chloride in it.
