Just before Christmas the vet and farrier visited Seamus and I. The farrier said it was a miracle. Seamus has normal canker free horn growth in three feet. The fourth is getting better too - we still have our fingers crossed. We have reduced his steriods to 125mg per day, and following further improvement in the fourth foot are hoping to reduce to 100mg every other day. We are still barefoot and are continuing to work under saddle with no problems. A promising start to the new year!

Blooming amazing - well done to ALL of you for making Seamus's life so much better. What more could you have wanted for Christmas.
Thanks for coming back to us with the great news, fantastic to hear that such a bad canker case can be retrieved.

Oh Lucy you have no idea how pleased I am for you. Just goes to show that if you catch it soon enough then there can be a happy ending. Just really wish we had managed to pry Joe away from previous owners sooner. Oh well I suppose everything happens for a reason, although not very clear at the time. What a fantastic Xmas and New Year pressie. Will still keep fingers etc crossed for you and Seamus.
