Hi - I wondered if anyone had any experience of this? My horse has, for the past week or so had what I believe to be a swollen submandibular gland - it is just below the angle of jaw and is only affected on one side. The swelling itself is probably about the size of a walnut and is fairly firm to the touch with no heat. There is no discharge and he has not had a temperature. He is an old boy and does not have the greatest of teeth. He has been under a lot of stress recently so I'm wondering if his immune system has been compromised? He has had no significant changes to his diet either. Upon vet's advice he has had a week of bute but this has not really had any impact. I am waiting to speak to the vet again but have made the fatal mistake of Googling it and am getting worried - has anyone experienced anything similar? Thanks in advance
