Ok, brought my Jaguar saddle from Lisa Ashe yesterday, love it! Brought it back, but it's too narrow for wither of my boys Am GUTTED. E-miled Jag to see about swapping, got an e-mail back saying that they can change the gullet, btu the cost of this is £100, then £12 PP +VAT. Now, do I try to find the money? Or pass it over to a saddler to see if I can get more than £1000 for it? It's worth £1600, been used twice.

Did you have someone out to make sure it would fit before hand? If you can guarentee that the saddle will fit with a change of gullet, I would spend the money on changing it. If not, then I would sell it and try and get the best price you can, and put it down to a lesson learnt.

I'd go for the change of gullet if it's that good, you ain't ever going to find as nice a saddle that cheap again.

Hmm I would have a saddler out to check it over, if they think a change of gullry would help then go for it, it could be that the tree just doesnt fit your horses.

I would definitely get a fitter that you trust out to see if it can be refitted to your horse, at least if it doesn't fit then you could get a good re-sale value on it.
