..................recommend any books or vids that i should watch as a total novice (not to riding or horses, but to dressage). I am really interested in it, but am basically just starting to look into having lessons. I am totally unfamiliar with terms etc, but i would love some advice as to where to start?? Thanks in advance!! Angella (& Pebbles who isnt sure she really wants to do dressage lol)

I love anything by Paul Balasik - its difficult as Carl Hester does some basic ones that are good but depends on whether you want to go down the totally classical path

Real Riding by Perry Wood. Sylvia Lochs & Carl Hester books, echo Paul Belasik. Also books by Arthur Kottas & Charles de Kunffy.

Ok I have watched one of Sylvia Lochs vids and i really liked the way she explains stuff,no force involved. I do want to get more of her stuff.
I got a dvd for xmas by Phillippe Karl, and it is ok,but i found that at £24.99 for 40mins its a bit expensive to continue with the set lol! Any opinions on him? Thanks so far guys, i will look on Amazon for the others.
