Are there any areas where fireworks are not a problem, it has been gradually getting worse here (North East England) since new year 2000. We are supposed to be moving south in the spring if we can find a house with land to buy, but I would hate to go somewhere where the fireworks are even worse, its bad enough here but at least our nearest neighbours are a quarter of a mile away. Any recommendations or warnings would be much appreciated. Thanks.

We are in the south east and we seem to have them all year round.! one thing I will say is that the horses are sooo used to them, they really don't bother about them, in fact last night we watched the firework display on the Thames from our yard, and the mares who could see them seemed to really enjoy them. My foal, whose stable faces the other way however, didn't even bother to get up, and in fact slept through the whole lot, including silly humans wobbling round the yard slurping champagne!!

Outer Mongolia perhaps, they seem to be getting worse and more widespread every year - I for one am completely and utterly fed up to the back teeth with the damned things. Have a look on the Fireworks brainwave thread for an idea, peeps.
