My daughter has worked out how to post pictures on here (we hope!), so for anyone who is interested, particularly Carole who has been asking to see some pictures, here they are. The first two are of my daughter's current horse, Izzy, who we bought in August. She is an 8 year old 15.3 Connemara x TB. The second two are of Jazz, the little horse my daughter brought on from December 2004 until August 2005 and then sold on behalf of the owners. She is a 14.3 appaloosa x TB who is now in a lovely home just up the road.

Thanks to everyone for your lovely comments. We haven't done much competitively with Izzy yet as we believe in taking some time for horse and rider to get to know each other first, but we've done some showjumping and dressage with promising results. My daughter can't wait for the new season to start. Her first love is eventing but she likes to try a bit of everything and her instructor is quite keen for her to try some showing classes such as working hunter, ridden hunter and riding horse. Although Izzy has toned up and looks sleeker now than when the pictures were taken, she's a little heavy for a riding horse. At 15.3 she's too big for the small hunters so she'll be up against the true hunter types in the larger category. Wonder how she'll get on. It's so exciting to have a new horse to play with this season!!!!

Julia if Izzy is a reg p.b then thats an option both PUK and NPS have these classes, just choose the relevant one to height, though I still think you would get away with the RH classes easily as I know some producers (friends) that have chunkier ones doing the circuit and winning big time. Look back at Young Dragonara, first a show pony, then a top SHP and has also done RH and Intermediates. Is Carry still riding with Lyndsay? wish we were nearer would like Jeavon under her wing.

Hi Carole
I don't know what she is at the moment!!!
I am currently trying to trace information about Izzy's background as I would like to know more about her breeding and whether she has any papers etc (the lady I bought her from didn't have any), and I have written to a lady who I think might be able to help me. She is a well-known person who contributes regularly to equestrian magazines so lets hope she is kind enough to reply. Izzy is believed to have been bred at an event yard, possibly somewhere in the east of england, so I'm trying to establish where. I would also like to know if she has ever been registered with the BSJA or British Eventing. I don't think she has, but I'd like to know for sure before we register her. Our last two horses were on loan from people who had owned them since they were foals, so it is strange to have a horse whose past is a mystery!
You obviously know a lot about showing - I assume that showing and dressage are your/Jeavon's disciplines. If I need any advice I'll know who to ask.
Kari is still working at Lindsey's and having lessons with her - Izzy's flatwork has imporved a lot since we bought her. It is a pity you're not nearer, I'd like to meet you!
