Not too bad, they can cope with one being lead away slightly (providing there is a bucket shaped distraction for the other one!)
It's going to be hard work, but they're worth it! X

No you are not a failure! Your new mantra is ' there is success and learning' and from this you can learn that you need to perhaps take smaller steps to your goal or have a friend with you - you control it! X

Happy dances tonight!! Walked Spring, in hand across the road and, right across the yard!! I know this shouldn't be a big deal, but for me and Spring it really really is!!
Yayayayay!! X

Aww thank you both! I was so proud of her (and me)! We're getting there, it's just very slow progress! X

It's the small steps that will build up to a solid foundation, without holes to fall through. You're doing just the right thing, keep going at your own pace, and soon you'll look back and see just how far you've come.

Thank you cc, I am generally very proud of both of us. I just have times where I worry that maybe spring isn't as... "Good" as every other 2 year old out there but then, I look at her and think who cares really? She's mine and she's beautiful xx

Thanks Portiabuzz. I feel like a right moan saying this, but I've got someone living close to where Spring is stabled who will insist on telling me how she should be trotting in hand on command and other such things that a two year old should be doing... Does my head in!! X

What nonsense! Ask her where it says that she should be doing those things, and on whose authority? It's up to you to take it at the pace that suits you and her, don't listen to others, your horse can't speak, you have to do it for her. Be strong, carry on doing as you are, and Spring will thank you for it. I hate people who tell you what 'should' be going on!
