Just a thought Kizi but have you had your Thyroid function tested? Good luck with the diet wish I was strong enough to do something about weight issues but I cave too easily particularly at the moment?

Kizi it sounds like you already eat healthily. Have a think about how many biscuits and bad snacks you actually get through, is it really enough to have put the extra weight on in a short time? I would echo mollichop about getting thyroid checked.

I'm on day 7 today. Cravings are all but gone and I feel so so much better. I am more awake in mind and body.

3 weeks in now and I have kind of settled into it. No more cravings! It's someone's birthday here today and they've provided buns from the best bakery in town but I am not feeling the need to have one! Vast improvement.
I have cut down a lot but not completely cut out bread. Everything tastes sweeter than before. I had a small amount of dark chocolate at the weekend, 70% cocoa and even that tasted too sweet. Success! I'm also now eating weetabix for breakfast which has a small amount of sugar, couldn't cope any longer with eating shredded wheat cardboard cereal and it's too warm for porridge.
My scales are broken but I know I am getting thinner as my clothes are not as tight. I am also feeling less tired than I was. I aim to get back into my lovely pure wool mears show jacket, probably about one full dress size away
