Oh Troop - that's not good.
I have an underactive thyroid and at times my medication has made me overactive. This time a couple of years ago I was on 175mcg, a dosage I'd been on for a long time but all of a sudden I was suffering over-active symtoms.
Over a few months I ended up on 100mcg which is the smallest dosage I've had (apart from when they first start you on 25mcg & work up) since I began the medication 12 years ago.
It does sound like you could be over-medicated. It was difficult for me to know whether my symptoms were over or under as things like fatigue, weight loss/gain, hair loss can be symptoms of both. They are also symptoms for many other issues - the symptoms you describe re: increased heart rate, palpitations and feeling dizzy/sick I felt before I was diagnosed with B12 deficiency.
I really think you need to see a specialist - GPs are afterall general medical practitioners and cannot be expert in everything. Find some specialists in your area with good reputations and ask for a referral.

Re BP in pregnancy - I have had completely the opposite experience. My BP is also normally at the low end of the normal scale, but due to a pre-existing medical condition I am being consultant-led throughout my pregnancy. They have put relatively low parameters (130/85) on my BP and will put me on beta blockers if it gets to this level. However, a rise in BP in the last trimester of pregnancy is totally normal, and they will only intervene with me because my medical condition means I am at risk of aortic root dilation if my BP goes up and stays up. For "normal" people, a temporary rise in BP should cause no long term problems.
Troop - don't miss GP appointments, it is very naughty and you might stop someone else seeing their doctor... :-P
