Apologies if this upsets anyone.. I was more than astonished to find Moody trying to bring this in through the cat door yesterday morning. It weighed more than she does!

Wow, that's impressive! Did she manage to bring it indoors? - maybe she thought you could cook it for lunch. I used to know an old farm cat who would catch rabbits - he was incredibly patient and very effective, especially as he was quite a plump and solid chap. It was amazing to see him pottering across the field with a rabbit in his jaws. He liked eating his though.

Good lordy lord. . That looks like a hare its hugeeeeeee! We used to have an old yard puss who would catch bunnies and eat everything except the nose and front teeth and the tail, most bizarre to find

I hope, after all that effort, you let her keep it?! You need to get a bigger cat flap I'm glad Pebble no longer hunts much, he brought in magpies, a sparrowhawk and a jackdaw when he was younger. I can imagine him thinking an adult bunny would make a nice change... Widget the yard cat used to catch rabbits as big as he is - then eat the entire thing in one go Little furry pig He's busy being a yard cat elsewhere now, and is probably waiting for lambing to start to he can drag lambs in.

Sorry to say that I deprived Moody of her prize. She wasn't too bothered as she prefers her dinner roasted! She was at the vet for vaccinations last week, and she's put on a bit of weight in the last year (only 0.2kg, but when you're only 3.5kg in the first place it's quite a lot), so she's not going to allowed to eat a whole rabbit if I can help it.
The dogs were very keen to help her, but that wasn't allowed either, as last time Fennel ate a rabbit she came into my office and threw it up again all over her bed. I shan't tell you what Dylan then tried to do, but I'm sure you can imagine.

That is impressive.... my old cat Koshcka (russian for cat) used to bring in very much alive full grown pigeons then let them go in the house.... he even managed to drag one in through a window that was only open 2 inches, without spilling too much of it's blood... Dad thought he'd been out, but when he went downstairs to shoo them both out the back door he found it locked....

Yup, I suspect it's one and the same.
Right now miss M-B is sitting on my lap looking like butter wouldn't melt and Fennel is snoring beside me.
And yes, I still love Moody-Blue, and Fennel! Although I frequently doubt my sanity.
