My neighbour.. yup him again..
First it was the smoking in the stair, usually right outside mine and "his" door (he doesn't actually live there, his GF does, but she - as nice as she is - has health problems and he is her carer) anyway for 3yrs he and the son and his GF smoke in the stair well, filling it with smoke? No no windows open, let alone a stair door.... I did tell the council, but nothing they can do... it's not covered by the blanket ban of public area's and smoking.. anyway (again) the smoke filters into my house, and being an asthmatic, I do now find myself using my inhalers more than I did before they moved here.
Today I walked in after being out, to a very strong perfume smell, and thought "oh god, someone's wearing a full bottle of perfume" cough cough... But nope.. it's an air freshner, and it points straight to my door... I'm sitting here at computer, atleast 10ft from the door, and I can smell it... I don't use air freshners in my house because of my asthma.. (I use smelly candles instead)
Why now? they've been here for 3.5 yrs, so why now?? I'm sure he's trying to antagonise me again.... I'll have to phone the council on Monday, he's not an approachable person..

Can you write a letter and post it ?? Unfortunately sometimes you cant go a nice route but i hope you get it sorted if its causing health issues.

nah, I'll get the council to do it..
if he comes out I may mention it, and ask him to move it inside when they aren't smoking, but I really don't want to be walking into a cloud of perfume everyday.
I sound like a right moanin' ol' cow lol

I would love to.... specifically to Dumfries and Galloway lol... (Gatehouse of Fleet - anyone know there??) I've been trying to move for years, it's no happening.. I've got used to the smell now, it is better than smelling smoke, but I do wonder why he's decided to do it now.. I put up a cheapish air freshner, but it mysteriously disappeared

Yuck. Totally sympathise with the asthma, smoke and perfume it's awful when you can't get away from it. And agree Gatehouse of Fleet in D&G is beautiful (especially when the bluebells are out in Cally Woods). Hope the council are helpful. x
