I hope everyone is keeping well, it seems ages since I last posted so thought I would stop being a lurker and give a little update.
Little Arthur will be 5 months this week. My god where has the the time gone! I have to say I didn't take to motherhood right away, it's been a challenge for me, I totally underestimated how bl00dy hard it would be with everything else I have to / want to do. It basically took me until about a month ago to really start getting to grips with it all. But one little smile from the main man makes it all worth while and I love him more than life itself...
My little bear
Smiling boy
Getting to grips with his feminine side
With having a little person, and the worlds worst wet winter, the ponies have been confined far more than I would have liked and trying to look after them, exercise them etc with a baby in tow has been a nightmare but I HAVE managed to get back in the saddle and have to say I am totally impressed with both of them. Ailsa has come back into work like she has never been off, in fact better she is hacking out on her own like a pro even after not being ridden for a week or two I can just tack her up and go! I have to I can't wait for others these days as my window of riding time is now so tiny. I am so so Proud of her!
Taken today when we got back from out morning hack on our own.
And Amigo, well he is Amigo I love him dearly but have started to put the feelers out for a new home for him, he is totally wasted with me, and while I will keep him if the right home isn't out there I owe it to him to look as he would just love to be someones main man and enjoy an active life. With that said last week I dusted off his tack and for the first time in a year I sat on him. I half expected his little legs to buckle under my larger than it was bottom, but this lad is gold and he didn't bat an eyelid, in fact he rather enjoyed the attention even if he is in a fully set of winter wooly's this year as he has been naked an un clipped all year. I was so pleased with him..
So that just leaves the Terrier two, who I have to say and have wonderful. I was worried how they would take to having a baby in the house and granted they would rather he wasn't here and they were center of attention but bless them they really have coped so well, not only with the changes in the house but in there routine too. It been a learning curve for us all but I think we are getting there!
Anyway enough dribble and pictures I am sure I have bored you all already. I hope everyone is looking forward to this year with lots planned. More DG babies will be here, DG weddings and hopefully LOTS for DG riding in the sunshine (I can wish anyway).
Take care all and I hope to get back to posting a bit more!
