Anyone else enjoyed the thirtieth (aaargh!) anniversary programme of the fabulous Bolero routine? I remember watching that so well - it was wonderful - I was at my ma's house, and neither of us knew anything at all about skating, but we were both spellbound. They said on the TV programme that it had an audience of 24 million that night - the whole nation was enthralled. Especially liked Jeffrey Archer's story of going in to a complete stranger's house to watch it, and them all on their feet cheering at the end. Just magical.

Watched it with my mum. Amazing that 30 years in it still makes you hold your breath. Such incredible athletes and artists. The stories were very good - Jeffrey Archer's made us smile too.

Wasn't it fantastic to be able to watch it again, and realise it was still just as utterly brilliant as it was then. So moving and uplifting - just magic.

They were interviewed in one of the papers today and he reckons they would not even have qualified with that routine this time as the judges look for totally different things now - there is nothing for artistic interpretation unfortunately.

I can remember watching it with my mouth probably hanging open in amazement. Gripping. I had never heard the music before and was transfixed.

I remember it very well and, like so many others, was completely blown away and in tears at the end of the performance. It was one of those unforgettable moments in life.
