Stallion was broken last yr not overly well, it resulted in him becoming quite adept at bolting. I turned him away and then a lively friend of mine came and sat on him for me to help build his confidence he had a bit more time just off and has come back into his groundwork a different horse. He's eager to learn, mischievous but not nasty so I don't think we're far off getting back on, I've ridden a friends mare a bit to get my confidence back as was very shaky I'm a lot better but am finding it hard to bite the bullet and get on him any advice how to give myself a kick up the butt?

I was just thinking today that I hadn't been in touch with you for a little while. I do apologise, things have been manic.
He is a lovely boy, just give me a shout if you want me to hop onboard first xx

Take up Clipclop's offer. If you are feeling anxious about it, your horse will instantly pick up on it and may get nervous himself. Get someone who has neither the nerves nor the emotional involvement to go first. That will set you both up for a more positive and relaxed experience. This is not bottling out, it is giving you and your boy the best chance of success.

Clipclop has been a star and is going to sit on him for me in a little while. In the meantime I have a fab loan horse to ride and get my confidence ready for the big guy.
