Try calling Trinity Consultants on 01243 551766. They're very helpful, full of advice and their supplements, while not cheap, work brilliantly. www.trinity-consultants.com is their website

I have found the reference I was looking for from a vet who posts on the endurance forum, it is Synoquin that is the veterinary recommended supplement.
'What one should remember is that these supplements are not generally independently tested these are branded nutraceuticals - what they say on the tin is not necessarily what is in the tin. I believe the makers of synoquin are the the only ones to have theirs properly analysed. There is also the question as to whether the levels in the joints are raised sufficiently in the joints - they certainly are in the blood stream.'
