I really really hate to post this or even think about it but.... I am researching cremation services for when my old boy goes. I am going to be devastated so would rather plan while I can rather than make a rash decision when the time comes. Can anyone recommend a company that does an individual cremation? I have found quite a few on line but would prefer a person recommendation from anyone who has had any experience. I have my vet to give the injection (unless emergency situation) but just need to arrange the cremation. Many thanks (already got a lump in my throat and tear in my eye) L

David funnell cherry tree pet crematorium is a well known one in Kent. They were very helpful when my mare died. Hope you don't have to use his services for a good while yet. X

I used chambers in Guildford when I arranged for my friends horse to be cremated, I can honestly say they were great, they collected the body spot on time then once the ashes were ready they delivered them back at a convienent time that suited my friend.

Thanks so much. I hope too that I can write down the information in a book and forget about it for a good few years. X

I have lost 3 over a period of time and one very recently I found Diplocks in Ringmer East Sussex excellent in service and sensitivity. I have the vet put them to sleep and use Diplocks for collection and cremation. Can't recommend them highly enough x

When i lost my girl i used Harry Hawkins in Cowfold, West Sussex. www.harryhawkinsincineration.co.uk/ The vet had PTS and they collected her an hour later. I had individual cremation and the ashes were returned to me (i didn't have to go and collect them). The ashes came back in a wicker basket, inside they were bagged up with a nice flower on top. I felt it was a professional and sympathetic service. It is a good idea to plan, it is the last thing you want to worry about when the time comes. Mine was totally unplanned but luckily the vet dealt with arranging the collection. But anyway lets hope it is not for many years yet. xx
