mm being very idle and been lurking on HHO. There is a thread about how long after having a baby do people get back in the saddle. I think the quickest was 3 days!! (me?: 10 years.....) But I was rather naughtily wondering what the answer would be to the question about the OTHER thing you can't do straight after having a baby!!! (& no I dont mean hoovering, which in my case was also about 10 years). ;D

I can't remember about the 'other' thing. Last time I had a baby was 22 years ago. Riding - straight after the 6 week check up. I was at riding schools in those days. I also rode til about 8 months pregnant each of 3 times.

DM what a trooper! I had my children in the middle of a 25 year break from riding so was never put to the test!

I think the 'other' thing had a six week wait in theory, in practice more like three but my youngest is 31 so it could all have changed ;D

Six months!! goodness,.how old are your children Christine? Mine was lame whilst I was pregnant, my little one was three months before he was fit enough for me to get back on and by then it didn't even occur to me to ask the Dr... I also had c sect.

Crikey... I suppose it depends on the delivery. If they shoot out like peas, then it's one thing, but with all the embroidery on the delicates, the very idea of riding at 3 days, my legs are twisted around the chair leg. I borrowed one (a 17hh TB... good idea Kya) after a few weeks. Weak as a kitten with no core strength.

Cookie I am very old at least 56 last time I checked, so way back in the dark ages of the late 70's that was the rule after a Csection! Daughter (MAdmare1) was born in 1978 so that makes her 34
