I've got a lot to do this year - hoping to get a couple of my shetlands driving, have a lovely foal to bring on, couple of nice young horses to work with, and a few other projects.
Some stuff it would be really useful to have a spare pair of hands, for long reining, driving (once broken to harness), spook busting, bombproofing, walking out ponies to get them used to traffic, etc.
It would be great experience for someone who wanted to gain experience with youngsters or bringing on/breaking to harness for driving, or just general despooking - could help with most things someone might want to learn. Possibility of riding for quiet rider, depending on size.
Get in touch if you'd like to chat.

Hi Varkie,
I'm over in Sussex, so could probably only come once a month or so, or for a couple of consecutive weekends with a break afterwards. I'm particularly interested in working with youngsters more.
I've done the 5-day foundation course and have been working with an anxious cob for several years: desensitising, long-lining, in-hand hacking & gradually increasing his confidence in ridden work, with RA help. I also helped to train our NF mare to drive, but only as far as pootling round the village - I'm good at directing traffic, especially my "we can't reverse, so you're going to have to" hand gestures.
I'm 5'3", just under 10 stone and I've had practice of riding very quietly while the person on the ground takes charge of the situation! I'm just about to hand in my application form to do the Practical Skills course with Jim Goddard for April this year.
Maybe we could collect a motley crew of helpers and set up some kind of rota?
