I'm now at 4 weeks post surgery and doing OK I think. OH took me to the field so I could see Murphy. It was lovely, he thought I was scary with my sticks, must have looked like a 4 legged creature, but was fine once he had a close look at them. He looks great, my friends have been doing a terrific job. I could not believe how muddy the field and yard area is but every one is coping. Difficult to imagine being back on board at the moment but I WILL be.

Good to hear you are progressing well and have such lovely friends and OH to support you. Spring will soon be here and with such a positive attitude I'm sure you will soon be back in the saddle ;D My dad had his hip replaced two years ago. He plays lots of golf and he says he feels fantastic! Back to eighteen holes again, which he hadn't been able to do for ages. And he is 75!

Well done. You will get there. I saw my surgeon today and got signed off. Yippee!! I can drive, get rid of the crutches (well, put them in the loft until my other hip has to be done), and get rid of the raised toilet seat.
Still have to be careful until the three month point at which time in theory I can get back on my pony. Fingers crossed.

Hiya Jane,
gosh it's a long time since we've been in touch! Nice to see you on here - I've not been on here as much as usual the last few months and so I've missed any previous posts about your hip.
Sounds like you are on the mend... Is Murphy well? Do you still keep him in the same place with your friend?
I'll have to try to arrange another Worcs DG get together - the last one kind of failed!
Jenny

Brilliant Suby2, you are just a bit ahead of me. Longing to drive and be independant, car serviced and MOT'd in readiness. WE'll have to follow each other's progress. Hoping to start sitting on ned at 3 months and go on slowly from there. Hi Jenny, yes Murph is at the same place. Actually had to rug him for the first time ever, but he was shivering in the cold rain. He is being ridden regularly so should be fine when I can get on. Perhaps a limited Worcs get together, you, me and Stacey!
