My OCD is field management - particularly hard as I gave up the responsibilty for managing our fields earlier this year as was just too busy with the teaching. But, it's crept back into my remit as I would just lie awake at night fretting that the horses weren't in the right groups in the right fields at the right time.....

I have an OCD about making sure they have enough hay when they are in. Drives my husband nuts as most of it seem to get trampled in their beds or poo'ed on but I cannot help it. I stress if I do not think they have enough to eat so every night it gets piled in on the floor and sure enough every morning they have not eaten it all. lol

I've probably got loads but the only one I can think of is that when tying haynets up the knot has to be at the top of the haynet. I hate it when people tie it with the knot at the end of the string, and I can't even THINK about someone not even notincing where the knot is!
Oh and I hate sloppy tacking up, when straps aren't properly in the keepers etc.

Hmmm. In my little world, I don't do "perfect." I aim for "good enough." And if I get close, I'm happy. Tra-la-la..

I am with JEN1 on the yard and stables side. But definately obsessive about horse health. condition of feet, eyes, coat, condition, if they are behaving differently to usual. I like to spot bother before it happens I pride myself in this.I don't miss much .

My nickname is actually OCD!!a few reasons why I got this nickname - I clean my water buckets, feed buckets and wheelbarrow with Milton. I turn over and lift my bed every morning and relay it in the evening and I only use a numnah and girth sleeve once then wash it. I won't share anything else yet in case you all think I'm weird!

I've got a thing about my headcollar being hung up in a certain way and it bugs me that the yard staff don't do it "properly".... However I recognise that this is me being silly so I stop myself from "correcting" the headcollar hanging.

Tack cleaning! I love it & clean it every time I ride right down to the stirrup treads! I also have a thing about cleaning my riding boots after I ride -even the soles!! But they are kept in the house rather than a porch or boot room

Tying and chaining gates up - it has to be done just right and very tight.
I am also a nightmare with checking girths and stirrups when I ride. I try not to over-do it because I know it is annoying and confidence-sapping for the horse.
I am just as bad with wheels on cars. Every time I drive on the motorway, I am convinced the wheels are going to come off. So motorway driving is very stressful for me!

Tidy stables, bucket handles to the wall, headcollars hung up with the rope draped evenly over the top! (I used to wind the rope, but then decided loose was better, incase of emergency! Don't really want to be unbuckling headcollars and unwinding ropes if you have a loose horse galloping up the road!)

I don't have any hang ups etc I really really find it hard to throw away anything that could be of use - baling string, empty feed bags, half eaten hay, cleanish bedding you name it (waste not want not ) I have had liverys though who seem happy to leave stables for weeks on end with festering old muck in them - I do somethimes wonder what their homes are like? (In case you are wondering, mine is "lived in"

Oh! I missed off clean food bowls! It drives me nuts when I do other peoples horses and their bowls are caked with old food (I usually have to soak the bowls for a day to get it off!) Even worse, if they are full of old dove poo! Thankfully I do that particular offenders animals 6 days a week now, so poopy bowls are a thing of the past!
