;D
Well Done to them both.
Charlotte and Valegro were 1st and Carl and Uthopia were 6th in the London round of the FEI World Cup. Charlotte had 84% and Carl, I think, had 71%. (A lower than normal score for this combination?) They'll both be in the Freestyle tonight, should be on BBC red button or Eurosport at 8pm.
Fingers crossed ;D

And Charlotte & Valegro have the New World Record!! A whopping score of 84.447% !!!!
Also Carl has announced that tonight will be his final ride on Uthopia, which is such a shame, so I assume the problems of ownership have been sorted and he is now sold :-(

ah i caught them both on tv - was such a joy to watch... they really are beautiful riders, and the horses are sublime!
i might have completely heard it wrong, but did the commentator say that Carl is trying to get a syndicate together for Valegro meaning that he might stay?? did anyone else hear this? hope i didn't get totally the wrong end of the stick, although that is quite likely lol!

even my OH could see the difference between the way their horses went and the tense over-extravagent movement of most of the others.

Well done to them both. I watched it all last night and really enjoyed it. i might have completely heard it wrong, but did the commentator say that Carl is trying to get a syndicate together for Valegro meaning that he might stay?? did anyone else hear this? hope i didn't get totally the wrong end of the stick, although that is quite likely lol! That is what i heard too!! I really hope that they manage to sort something out so he can stay.

my friend went to the kur and said there were a lot of grumbles about Isabelle Worth's markings. Seems the german judge marked her about 7% or something higher than everyone else which meant she beat Carl when he was far better as her horse was very tense and not pleasant to watch.

That's interesting, I was surprised she got such a high mark. It was technically good but there was no joy in it and the horse didn't seem to be having a great time.

Charlotte is hoping to get a syndicate together to buy Valegro but Uthopia has sold or is to be sold, and will not be competed to reduce risk of injury.
